Buffalo hunting and Elephant Research Observation Hosted and Guided by Ivan Carter! This donation for 1 lucky winner will provide a unique experience. You will have the opportunity to visit the Zambezi delta, coutada 11, possibly one of the most game rich areas in all of Africa and one of the foremost conservation projects in Africa.
You will hunt a Cape Buffalo Bull in the famed Zambezi delta swamp and observe and participate in the collaring (or de-collaring) of at least two elephants. These are animals collared for research and the experience of collaring them is truly unique. The area truly abounds with wildlife and has been often described as one of the most prolific, game rich areas in all of Africa.
This donation is an opportunity to participate in a true conservation effort, on the front line of this exceptional hunting area. The successful bidder will:
- observe the darting and collaring of at least two elephants
- Participate in measuring the animal while the collar is changed. (the animal is usually kept “under” for about 30 minutes giving ample opportunity for photos and interaction)
- hunt a cape buffalo guided by Ivan Carter
Ivan Carter will host the event, alongside the ZDS team. This unique experience will be captured on film, and will be yours to share with friends and family.
The donation includes:
- 5 full days in one of the ZDS hunting lodges
- Buffalo hunt, Buffalo license and trophy fee
- Guide services of Ivan Carter
- All collars and vet costs
- Professional cameraman and final edit
- All food laundry and accommodation
- Air charters to and from Beira, Mozambique to Camp
The donation does not include: International air travel to Beira, Mozambique
Rules/Notes:
- Donation must be used in 2018, between August and November (when it’s dry and easier to dart and hunt).
- The dates must be coordinated with Ivan Carter and ZDS Ivan@ivancarter.com
- Additional hunter or non-hunters may be added to the group at the outfitters current prices, subject to available space and quota.
- Hunting days in ZDS and additional animals can be added at normal license and trophy fees, this experience would be at normal hunting rates and days. The big game hunting on the property is exceptional. There is excellent buffalo, and the opportunity for exceptional variety of plains game.
