This is a 1/3 scale reproduction of the 13" 17,280 pound Civil War Siege Mortar located in front of the courthouse in Lowell Massachusetts. The siege mortar was dedicated in 1915 after the mortar was deemed as surplus by the US Navy. It was being stored in the Portsmouth Naval Yard. The mortar was produced at Fort Pitt Works in Pittsburgh, PA and is dated 1862. This 1/3 scale replica was meticulously recreated by Warren Ogden who visited Lowell to take scale measurements of the original. The detail of the replica is amazing. This includes 4 scale sized mortar balls. Measures 21.5" long, 13" tall, and 13.5" wide at the outside of the wheels. The bore is about 2.5" across. We will not ship this item in house. Buyer to pick up locally or we can release this to the Pak Mail store in Battle Creek for crating and shipping at buyer's expense. Condition: Some surface patina. Appears to be in shootable condition, but do so at your own risk!!! Please send us video if you do! NICS Required?: NO
