1)SWORD. A WWI era US M1852 Naval officer's sword. Overall length: 34 3/4". Blade length: 28 1/4". Blade has a single medium fuller and is etched over 70% of its length with various military, nautical & foliate motifs. Gilded brass hilt with pierced guard featuring "USN" in the center. Downturned dolphin quillon with a dolphin head knuckle bow. Foliate embellished pommel with eagle & stars on the pommel cap. Partial sword knot. Wire-wrapped faux sharkskin grip. Gilded brass mounted scabbard with leather covered iron body. CONDITION: blade has some original factory polish with oxidation near the ricasso. Hilt shows moderate to heavy wear with traces of gilded finish remaining. Sword knot is missing its acorn, and the wire wrap is mostly dislodged. Scabbard shows moderate overall wear. 2)BAYONET. A US M1816 bayonet of 69 caliber measuring 19 1/4" overall with a 15 3/4" blade. Blade is marked "US" over "WL". CONDITION: bayonet has a dark brown finish and is possibly excavated. The front of the socket appears to be damaged from impacts. 3)BAYONET. A reproduction P-1907 Enfield bayonet measuring 22 5/8" overall with a 17 1/4" blade. Blade has a blued finish with a single fuller. Blade is marked "(crown) GR P-1907 ENFIELD" with various arsenal marks on the opposite side. Darkened iron hilt with 2-piece wood grip. Steel mounted black leather scabbard. CONDITION: bayonet shows very light wear overall. (02-19611-4/BF). $200-300.
