10 Day Artic Polar Bear Hunt
Hunting the mighty polar bear is one of the greatest hunting adventures on the planet. We have partnerships with four Inuit villages to conduct our Polar bear hunts. Hunters travel by snowmobiles and qamutik sleds to the base camps. By law the travel for the hunt will by dog teams and sleds. The base camps are basic heated wood cabins and the hunting camps out on the ice are heated insulated wall tent.
The hunts are conducted with a main Inuit guide and an assistant guide. Our guides are experienced and know the land extremely well. They have hunted the land for many years and know the best areas to find bears. We hunt for male bears with the average size in the 8’-6” to 10’-6” range. The hunts are scheduled in March and April. The weather this time of year in the North can be very cold. It is not uncommon to see temperatures drop to -25 Fahrenheit.
There is a 5% GST tax on the hunt value and the tag fee is $1250. The trophy fee is $1750. Currently legally hunted polar bear in Canada are not importable into the US.
Musk Ox is also available to hunt for $11,500.
