Fabulous Opportunity for Kamchatka Bighorn Sheep and Russian Brown Bear Combo Hunt - Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia
Open dates in August/September 2021, 2022 or 2023.
This fabulous opportunity comes to us from our friends Srdja and Sonja Dimitrijevic, principals of "Hunt In Europe". This is an opportunity to hunt Kamchatka Snow Sheep on the Kamchatka peninsula of Siberia. The Snow Sheep is actually a thinhorn, the same as our Dall or Stone sheep. It is a very handsome chunky grey-brown sheep, with white nose and rump patches, and noted for its gracefully curving horns, which can reach up to 40". This is a combination hunt, and once the hunter has taken his sheep, he/she hikes down along the river system to base camp, hunting Russian Brown Bear, which needs no introduction, enroute,
Donor states that success on Snow Sheep has been 100% for the last four years.
This donation includes the helicopter from Petropavlovsk to camp, and further, drop-off on the mountain tops. Sheep hunters hunt high, and walk down along the river system once the sheep is taken. Sheep hunting will be from spike camps, and terrain is sheep country. Travel light - good boots are a must, as is a flat-shooting, scoped rifle of sufficient power to also take Brown Bear. Good optics, warm layered clothes will be a necessity (contact donor for more complete requirements). Trophy fees are charged for the two main trophies, with 2021 fees being US$3000 for the Snow Sheep and US$2000 for the bear. Fishing in the streams and rivers is free. Donation includes return helicopter flight to Petropavlovsk.
Note: The donor states that a minimum of three hunters is required. Hunt in Europe will match up hunters to make up the three hunter minimum. This may require some flexibility in scheduling.
Due to the rugged nature of this hunt, non-hunters are not included.
This is a great opportunity to harvest a relatively rare sheep, with the possibility of a great bear as well!
Donation includes:
- 10-day fully guided hunt for 1(one) Snow Sheep and 1 (one) Brown bear.
- Ground transfers from Petropavlovsk to the nearest air facility, roundtrip helicopter to Camp and back, plus helicopter drop-off high in sheep country.
- Spike Camp and Main Camp accommodations and food
- Free fishing
NOT INCLUDED
- International airfare to/from Petropavlovsk, Russia
- Trophy Fees for sheep and bear
- Personal items and alcohol
