Walnut grips secured by 2 screws w/ diagonal grooves. Bayonet & scabbard have several Imperial acceptance marks. Blued steel scabbard w/ ball finial. Blade has been lightly cleaned over spots of very light oxidation. Balance of metal turning gray & patina. Grips show moderate wear & handling marks. Scabbard retains 75% worn thinning blue. No.2: German Model 1884/98. 9 15/16" blued steel fullered blade. 15 1/4" overall. Blade is marked on left ricasso "44ffc". Right ricasso is marked "2922d" which matches the scabbard. Brown composite grips retained by two screws. Flash guard is present. Pommel is marked "WAA510". Black leather frog. Markings appear to be "G. Sch? / 194?". CONDITION: bayonet is in very good overall condition & scattered handling marks. Scabbard has arsenal rework blue finish w/ light wear & scattered scratches. Frog has light wear. Stitching is tight. Bayonet apparently manufactured during the early period of German occupation. Blade is marked on left ricasso w/ S#. Marked on right ricasso "dot". Crossguard secured by two pins. Smooth walnut grips retained by two screws. Pommel is marked on left rear w/ tiny "eagle / 63". Steel scabbard is marked on top rear "dot / 42" & on frog retaining bar "eagle / 63". Black leather frog is unmarked. CONDITION: bayonet appears unissued, retaining a large percentage of its original blue finish w/ light wear mostly from scabbard. Grips have light staining. Scabbard has notably more wear & handling marks. Frog has scuffing, wear & flexing, but stitching remains tight. No.8: French Model 1886/93/16. 20 3/8" quadrangular spike blade. 25 1/8" overall. Bayonet is later production w/o the curved quillon. Bayonet is marked only by S# & acceptance marks. Brass handle. Blued steel scabbard w/ ball tip. CONDITION: metal parts are turning gray w/ very light wear & handling marks. Brass handle has pleasing patina. Scabbard has arsenal rework blue finish & notable dent near tip. No.9: French 1886/93/16. 20 3/8" quadrangular steel spike blade. 25 1/8" overall. Bayonet is marked only w/ acceptance marks. Brass handle. Steel scabbard w/ ball tip. Tan leather frog of stitched construction. Partially legible ink marking on back has "1915" date. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet are turning gray w/ light wear & handling marks. Brass handle is turning patina w/ handling marks. Scabbard retains most of its arsenal rework blue. Frog in very good condition w/ tight stitching. No.10: Japanese Type 30. Late war production. 14 7/8" bright fullered blade. 19 1/2" overall. Entire bayonet is unmarked. Crossguard w/ forward swept quillon. Smooch hardwood handles retained by two screws. Steel scabbard w/ ball tip & tan leather frog. CONDITION: unsharpened blade has light wear, light oxidation & shallow pitting. Balance of metal turning overall patina w/ light wear. Grips have light wear & handling marks. Scabbard w/ shallow dents & traces of blue. Frog in very good likely unissued condition. No.11: Japanese Type 30. 15 1/2" bright fullered blade. 20" overall. Bayonet is marked on right ricasso w/ "Jinsen arsenal marking". Quillon is forward swept. Smooth hardwood grips retained by rivets. Flat sided pommel marked at rear w/ serial number. CONDITION: unsharpened blade has light wear & staining. Grips have light wear, staining & tiny crack on right side. Balance of metal turning patina. Blade has scratches & shallow dents, but retains most of its original blue. Leather frog is very good condition. No.12: Austrian Model 95. Inverted cutting edge. 9 5/8" bright fullered blade. 14" overall. Right ricasso marked w/ "OEWG". Crossguard secured by two pins & is marked w/ serial number. Smooth hardwood grips secured by two rivets. Right grip has "bored soldier" initials. Pommel has additional S#. Steel scabbard marked "OEWG". Well-worn unmarked leather frog. CONDITION: blade is turning gray w/ moderate wear. Edge has small missing chips. Balance of metal shows extended wear, turning patina. Grips have crack, missing chips, wear & staining. Scabbard has extensive wear, retaining little of its original finish. Frog has missing rivets & loose stitching w/ extensive wear & scuffing. No.13: Italian Model 1938. Bayonet is foldable. 6 7/8" blued fullered blade. 11 3/8" overall. Bayonet is marked only w/ S# at top of grip. Smooth hardwood grips retained by screws. Unmarked black finished steel scabbard w/ belt loop. CONDITION: bayonet appears to have seen little or no use & has only light scuffing w/ handling wear. Grips have scattered small handling marks. Scabbard has extensive wear, oxidation & fine pitting. No.14: British No.9 Mk1 Bowie Bayonet for No.4 Rifle. 7 3/4" fullered blade. 9 15/16" overall. Bayonet is in unissued condition & includes remnants of the original paper packaging. Blade is finished gray, balance of metal is the typical British black finish. (02-23706/RW).
