16th to 17th century rapier of Central European origin assembled with period elements. Measures 41 ½” overall with a 36” blade which was most likely 3”-4” longer originally. Proper style wire wrapped grip is slightly lose. A stylized leaf orFluer d’ Li on chiseled pommel. Some pitting and evidence of old cleaning. The blade maker’s marks are not legible. A good match of period element and a very decent and representative rapier. Est.: $1400-$2800
