A Good And Rare English Civil War Steel Pikeman’s Breastplate Of Siege Weight With Shot-Proof And Superbly Marked Circa 1640. The heavy plate with rolled edges, line decoration and medial ridge. Great shot-proof and stamped “Z” mark. Further stamped with armorer’s mark a “Crown” over “R H” and further “II” The interior rough from the armorer’s hammer. This element of armor bespeaks the English Civil War and its battles. Good overall condition.
