1862 Tower musket, approximately .58 caliber, serial #NSNV. The musket is in overall very good condition with a 36” round barrel. The barrel and action have gone to grey patina with mild surface erosion and rust evident. The receiver is marked “1862 Tower” with a crown behind the hammer. The hammer shows some moderate surface rust while the barrel retains numerous proofs including “RB”. The musket retains its ramrod, three barrel bands and brass trigger guard. The smooth wood full stock is in overall good condition with mars, compressions and a small crack on the left side of the action. The buttstock ends with a smooth brass butt plate. The action is crisp and markings remain legible on this musket. Est.: $400-$700.
