Manufactured in 1979. This commemorative features a 24" blued round barrel with full length 7-round magazine tube. Rear flat top semi-buckhorn adjustable notch sight and brass bead front blade. Antique silver plated receiver features frontiersman engraving on both sides. The right side features a standing grizzly bear, a frontiersman in buckskin greeting two Native Americans on horseback, a rattlesnake and a beaver. The left side of the receiver features a fierce bald eagle about to grab a groundhog with its extended talons and a mounted frontiersman leading his mule pack through high country with a second mounted frontiersman following. Blued loading gate, lever and hammer. Walnut straight grip stock with grip checkering and spade design. Fitted with a blued steel butt plate. An antique silver tone medallion is inlaid on the right side of the butt stock, depicting a fight between a buckskin clad frontiersman and a Native American with a tomahawk. Matching forearm walnut stock fitted with an antique silver forearm cap. LOP: 13-1/2". CALIBER: 38-55 WIN. S/N: LF05230. FFL STATUS: Modern.
CONDITION
Retains 96%+ finish on barrel and tube. Action silver shows some tarnish from age and storage. Stock shows a few light dings, and light scuff in the forearm checkering. Great bore and mechanics.
