Colt SAA revolver, .44-40 caliber, 7.5” barrel, areas of nickel finish mixed with brown patina, wood grips, S/N 53,261 (ca. 1880); overall good condition with matching visible serial numbers, un-cleaned bore,action working but not staying on full cock, good markings, good grips; Colt factory accompanies this SAA confirming caliber and finish, type of stocks “Not Listed”; Remarks section of letter indicate 7.5” barrel andwood grips were standard issue for the period of shipment (this gun shipped on November 1, 1879, in a lot of 50 same type guns. Importantly, the factory letter notes this revolver was shipped to the WinchesterRepeating Arms Co., New Haven, CT on that date. (Antique). Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
