1) Cal. 6.5 Carc. S# SG8561. Bbl. 17 1/2". Matching number on butt stock. Right side of bbl. has 1942 date. Top of bbl. has Gardone marking. Fixed rear sight. Blade front sight. Folding spike bayonet w/ 13" blade. Beech stock w/ left side sling provisions. Stock has faint "FAG 42" cartouche on the left side of butt & what appears to be a faint German depot stamp along the bottom of butt. CONDITION: stock set appears lightly sanded w/ added finish, a large chip at toe, another chip near sling slot, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal retains 70% arsenal blue w/ some light pitting on bbl., scattered fading & edge wear. Very good bore. (23-1929/MJC). 2) Cal. 6.5 Carc. S# E473. Bbl. 18". Mismatched number on stock. Top of receiver has Gardone marking. Left side of receiver has 1935 date in standard form & Roman numeral form. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1500m. Blade front sight. Folding spike bayonet w/ 13" blade. Hardwood stock w/ "CAL 7.35" marking, faint Gardone cartouche & left side sling provisions. Metal is proud of wood. CONDITION: refinished stock set w/ added varnish, a small crack on rear of handguard, a 2 1/4" crack behind trigger guard extending into wrist, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal retains 30% arsenal blue w/ overall thinning to gray, some light pitting on mag body & scattered oxidation. Fair bore w/ scattered pitting & frosting. (23-1982/MJC). ALL CURIO. $300-600.
