5-day spring 2026 self-guided, youth (12-17 years old), archery or rifle hunt on 4,500-acre private property, the Jack Creek Preserve in SW MT. The property connects the south and north units of the 259,000-acre Lee Metcalf Wilderness in Montana. Access to the Preserve and the surrounding land is limited by a gated road running from Ennis to Big Sky resulting in almost no public pressure on the surrounding public land. The Jack Creek Preserve Foundation offers programs in conservation education to youth and adults. Participants learn about the importance of hunter-based conservation and about wildlife management and conservation. Not only will you get to visit one of the most spectacular areas in the lower 48, but you will be helping a great cause by supporting conservation education programs. Youth hunter and 2 observers included. Hunters are responsible for their own license and tags and must provide their own transportation. A 4WD, high clearance vehicle will be needed. 2 small rustic cabins are available for use during the hunt. There is no electricity or running water. A road pass will need to be issued to access the Preserve from the privately owned Jack Creek Rd.
