Impressive Civil War era .28 caliber cup-primed pocket pistol by Conn. Arms Co. showing raised carved ivory grips with American eagle and shield and in original to the period casing showing 1864 patent date on the cylinder and retaining original extractor on the right side. Approximately 20%-40% original blue with light cleaning. 75%-85% original silver on brass frame. Bright finish on extractor and case colors on the hammer. The grips are very good plus with minor aging. Any small frame antique pistol with carved ivory is scarce but the American eagle and shield is rare and desirable. Refer Flayderman 8A-039.
