Set of American style Kentucky pistols by contemporary maker L. Smith. The first pistol is .54 caliber flintlock. Measures 10" overall with a 6 1/8" octagon to round barrel, smooth cherrywood stock, ironfurniture, nicely inlaid with engraved silver decorative inlays in American motifs, with brass engraved mounts, and the quality is very good overall. Cased with a companion percussion pistol in .50 caliber with a 99/16" octagon barrel in approximately .50 caliber with curly maple stock, decorative silver inlays and engraved brass mounts. The brace are cased in a well-made beveled lid casing with green felt partition lined bottom and a mold for each pistol and compartments at each end of the box.
