Roby U.S. Cavalry Sabre dated 1865 without scabbard. The sabre is in good overall condition, 40 ½” in total length with a 35” blade gone to dark brown patina. The blade is marked, “US 1865 A.G.M.” on one side ofthe ricasso and “C. ROBY CHELMSFORD MASS” on the reverse. The brass basket handguard has been painted silver with crude stamps, “58” and “20” stamped on the guard. The markings could indicate movie studio use or racknumbers. The leather wrapped grip is in good condition missing most of the wire wrap with bare brass at the pommel. Est.: $150-$300.

All over-sized, fragile or bulky items are the buyer's responsibility to have a third party shipper pick up and deliver.We do not ship to address' outside the United States.
Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
