Colt Model 1861 Special musket in .58 caliber. This rifled musket is dated 1863 and shows a crisp “NJ” marking on the left side of the barrel indicating issue to the New Jersey State Militia. The musket is invery good overall condition with light surface erosion and minor cleaning to the National Armory bright finish. The wood is very good with minor light cleaning and a small compression or dent along the ram rodchannel. The lot includes the original socket bayonet and tulip head cleaning rod. The musket has sharp markings, a good action, bore and is in very good plus condition with strong rifling. This Civil War era Coltmusket is a solid 7 ½ on a 1-10 scale. Est.: $1,250-$2,500. All over-sized, fragile or bulky items are the buyer's responsibility to have a third party shipper pick up and deliver.We do not ship to address' outside the United States.
Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
