3 Days & 3 Nights for 2 Hunters

Known as the “Ribeye of the sky”, this 3 day/3-night hunt will give you the perfect taste of adventure! Come explore thousands of acres of the flatlands of west Texas while you chase the beautiful Sandhill Crane. This package includes lodging and breakfasts at a local hotel and hearty meals and cold drinks served by staff every evening in a beautiful, converted barn or we will take you to taste the cuisine at some of our favorite restaurants. The Diamond Wing Outfitters staff and guides will give you a fun filled trip while you enjoy gorgeous sunrises and good company! Each evening your guide will provide you with the pin location of where the next day's hunt will be after they have scouted the best location to take our chances with this migratory species. Near or far we can drive up to an hour away to find the biggest group of cranes possible, but the spread will be set and ready for you when you arrive! Typically, we hunt out of layout blinds or a frame style brushed blinds along irrigation turrets or ditches. (“There ain’t much to hide behind in West Texas”) Limits are 3 cranes daily and 5 lesser Canadians per hunter, with that said if you’re a bird hunter you know how migratory birds can be and sandhill cranes are a notoriously difficult bird to decoy. With our experienced crew we will use our knowledge to the best of our ability for you to enjoy the beautiful sight and sound of these cranes as they pile into the region for their migration farther south. We typically finish hunting around 11am each day. This gives you ample time to get back to the hotel, grab lunch in town and take a nap before we join you for dinner and the hunting stories can commence. So, grab your shotgun and join us in and around beautiful Canyon, Texas for a trip to remember! Cost of additional hunters are $2195. Number of guides: 8x2. Number of days/nights: 3-days/3-nights. Trip is available during the months of November – January and must be taken in 2025 – January 2026. Location of trip: Canyon, Texas. Trip arrival/departure point: Canyon, Texas. Trip accommodations: Hotel (all adventures are double occupancy). Target species included in trip: up to 3 cranes per hunter per day & up to 5 lesser Canadians per hunter per day. Permits & additional fees: $85/per hunter, shotgun rental with ammunition (up to 2 boxes of ammunition) $250 per hunter, single room ($600). Taxidermy & shipping are not included in this donation. Included in this trip: Lodging, evening meals & beverages, professional guides, field prep. Not included in this trip: tips to guides & staff, shotgun rental with ammunition, license fee, taxidermy/packing/shipping, transportation to/from Canyon, Texas, transportation during hunt, breakfast (provided @ hotel) & lunch IMPORTANT NOTE: Trip donations to the same location are limited to one donation per buyer. Multiple donations cannot be used towards the same hunt from the same buyer & it is the responsibility of the Buyer to contact Safari Unlimited to begin booking.
