REPRODUCTION SWORDS. 1) NAVY. Overall length: 35 1/4". Blade length: 29". A 20th century US Naval officer's sword with an etched blade featuring a single medium fuller. Etching includes foliate and nautical motifs with a 3 1/2" panel that reads "Wm Glenn Waltermire". The ricasso is marked "WM. H. HORSTMANN . COMPANY PHILIDELPHIA" & "GERMANY". Gilded brass hilt with a pierce oak leaf guard featuring the letters "USN". Guard has a downturned dolphin head quillon and the top of the knuckle bow forms another dolphin's head. Pommel has oak leaf embellishments with eagle and stars on the top. There is an officer's knot attached to the hilt. Gilded brass mounted leather covered metal scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish. Hilt shows light wear, as does the scabbard. The knot is somewhat tattered. 2) NAVY. Overall length: 36 1/2". Blade length: 30". A 20th century US Naval officer's sword with an etched blade featuring a single medium fuller. Etching includes foliate and nautical motifs with a 3 1/4" panel that reads "Richard P. Hendrix". The ricasso is marked "(logo) TRADE MARK CONQUEROR N.S. MEYER INC. STAINLESS WEST GERMANY". Gilded brass hilt with a pierce oak leaf guard featuring the letters "USN". Guard has a downturned dolphin head quillon and the top of the knuckle bow forms another dolphin's head. Pommel has oak leaf embellishments with eagle and stars on the top. There is an officer's knot attached to the hilt. Gilded brass mounted leather covered metal scabbard. The sword comes with its original gray cloth bag and leather-like storage case. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish. Hilt and scabbard show nearly no wear. Bag and carrier show handling wear only. 3) MARINE. Overall length: 38". Blade length: 29 3/4". A mameluke sword with an etched blade and a single medium fuller. Etching includes various foliate, Marine Corp, and patriotic motifs, including two 6 1/2" panels that read "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS". The blade also has a 3" panel etched with the name "Joseph A. Varga" and the ricasso is marked "STAINLESS (logo) TRADEMARK HILBORN HAMBERGER INC. NEW YORK". The top of the spine is etched "USMC SERIAL No 323". Classic crossguard with acorn finials with a white composite grip featuring star decorated screw attachments (one missing). Gilded brass mounted plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a mirror-like finish. Hilt and scabbard show light wear. 4) REPRODUCTION. Overall length: 42 1/2". Blade length: 34 1/4". A reproduction cavalry saber emulating a Civil War style. Plain blade with a brass hilt and wire wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard with leather and brass saber hanger. CONDITION: sword has a badly rusted blade. Hilt is solid but grip is separating. Scabbard shows some oxidation. Hanger is complete. 5) REPRODUCTION. Overall length: 42". Blade length: 34". A reproduction cavalry saber emulating a Civil War style. Plain blade with a brass hilt and wire wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: sword shows light overall wear.
