1) Overall length: 17 3/4". Blade length: 12". The plain blade is stamped near the hilt "S A (flaming bomb) 1911" and "US 17892." Brass S-shaped guard with a one-piece, shaped, wooden grip secured by three brass rivets. There is a brass cap on the side of the pommel and a brass-lined lanyard ring. Dark brown leather sheath that has a partially visible mark that reads "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1912 H.E.K." Brass throat that was originally blued with a blued iron belt loop. CONDITION: blade has sporadic staining and very shallow pitting. Hilt and sheath show light to moderate wear. 2) Overall length: 17 3/4". Blade length: 11 7/8". The plain blade is stamped near the hilt "S A (flaming bomb) 1911" and "US 18733." Brass S-shaped guard with a one-piece, shaped, wooden grip secured by three brass rivets. There is a brass cap on the side of the pommel and a brass-lined lanyard ring. Brown leather sheath clearly marked "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1911. H.E.K." and "N.S." Silvered brass throat with a blued iron belt loop attachment at the top. CONDITION: blade has much of the original factory polish. Hilt and sheath show light to moderate wear, with some scuffing on the sheath. 3) Overall length: 17 5/8". Blade length: 12". The plain blade is stamped near the hilt "1904" and "U.S. 786." Brass S-shaped guard with a one-piece, shaped, wooden grip secured by three brass rivets. There is a brass cap on the side of the pommel and a brass-lined lanyard ring. Brown leather sheath marked on the reverse "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1912. H.E.K." along with an inspector’s mark that read "R.C." Brass throat with a blued iron belt loop attachment at the top. CONDITION: blade has a pleasing, light gray patina. Hilt shows light wear, and the sheath shows moderate wear with oxidation to the belt loop. (02-23189/BF). $600-900.
