3 WWI GERMAN VISOR CAPS, 2 FELDMUTZEN & 1 SHAKO.

1) PRUSSIAN. A Prussian officer's Technical Troops visor cap for Artillery & Engineers. Hat has a steel blue crown with a black velvet band & red piping throughout. The crown has a national cockade in the front & the band has a Prussian cockade in the front. Black visor with brown sweatband. Interior has the name, "Kollmann" embossed in gold. CONDITION: very light wear overall with minor mothing & a bit of oxidation on the Prussian cockade.
2) PRUSSIAN. A Prussian officer's visor cap for Artillery. Hat has a royal blue crown with a red wool band & red piping throughout. The crown has a national cockade in the front & the band has a Prussian cockade in the front with a central Maltese cross. Black visor with black sweatband. Interior appears to be black silk. CONDITION: very light wear overall.
3) BRAUNSCHWEIG. A M1915 Braunschweig officer's visor cap possibly for Artillery. Hat has a dark gray crown with a dark gray wool band & red piping throughout. The crown has a national cockade in the front & the band has a Braunschweig cockade in the front. Black visor with brown leather sweatband. Interior is marked, "(logo) Otto Vockel Bad-Gandersheim" with a paper label affixed that reads, "G. Overbeck Tekenhausen". CONDITION: very light wear overall.
4) PRUSSIAN. A Prussian enlisted man's feldmutze for Infantry. Hat has a field gray/green crown with a green wool band & green piping around the top. The crown has a national cockade in the front & the band has a Prussian cockade. Tan cotton lining with several ink stamps. A sewn in tag reads, "Voigt, H. 16./S.R. 10". CONDITION: hat shows general light wear. The interior is a bit stained & there are a few moth tracks on the exterior.
5) PRUSSIAN. A Prussian enlisted man's feldmutze for Artillery. Hat has a field gray/green crown with a red wool band & red piping around the top. The crown has a national cockade in the front & the band has a Prussian cockade. Cotton muslin lining stamped "56" & "J.R.39" in a rectangle. CONDITION: hat shows general light wear overall.
6) AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN. An interesting Austro-Hungarian shako for an artillery officer dating from the 1880-1914 period. Black leather crown with black wool covered body. Gold bullion trim around the top with blue & red pompom. There is a double headed eagle Austro-Hungarian front plate & bullion thread embellishments to the visor. Brown leather sweatband with bronze colored silk lining. CONDITION: hat shows light to moderate wear throughout with period reattachment of the sweatband. (02-16351/BF). $1,000-1,500.
