3 WWII GERMAN STYLE DAGGERS.
1) 2ND MODEL LUFTWAFFE. Overall length: 9 1/2". A good example of a miniature 2nd Model Luftwaffe dagger. Blade is marked, "D.R.G.M. (king) SMF SOLINGEN" and is unmarked on the reverse. Aluminum pommel and crossguard. Wire wrapped orange grip. Plated iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has minor scattered staining. Remainder of dagger shows light overall wear. 2) SA. Overall length: 14 5/8". We believe this dagger to be of post WWII manufacture. It is likely this dagger was made to deceive collectors. Blade is etched, "Alles fur Deutschland" on the front and is marked, "RZM M 7/66 (squirrel) EICKHORN SOLINGEN"on the reverse. Blade is further inscribed on the reverse, "SA-Skiwettkampf 1936 Schreiberhau halzer Brigadefuhrer" which translated refers to a ski competition held in 1936 in Schreiberhau (Poland). Nickel pommel and crossguard. Light brown wooden grip. Pot metal grip eagle with brown enamel SA button. Nickel mounted scabbard with brown painted finish. Original SA hanger marked, "RZM" on the leather and "RZM M5/25" on the clip. CONDITION: blade has a somewhat darkened finish overall. Crossguard and pommel are solid. Grip is a bit light in color. Scabbard has scattered scratches to the body. Hanger shows light wear. 3) SA. Overall length: 13 3/4". We believe this dagger was manufactured from both original and post WWII parts and sold to GIs and tourists in Germany in the 1950s and 60s. Blade is etched, "Alles fur Deutschland" on the front and is marked, "B&A" vertically and "B&A" horizontally in a cross with "SOLINGEN" underneath on the reverse. The blade is stamped at the ricasso, "GERMANY" to comply with export regulations. Crossguard and pommel appear to be aluminum. Grip is likely bakelite. Aluminum grip eagle with brown enamel SA button. No scabbard. CONDITION: dagger shows light wear overall. (02-17560-7/BF). $300-500.
