•This is a 4-day hunt for one hunter for a free-range Cantabrian chamois in Spain.
•Arrangements can be made for an older hunter to stay in a very nice lodge, or for the more rugged hunters, in a mountain house. José has
four different areas to choose from, depending on what the hunter prefers.
•Hunt dates can be arranged for May - November 2024 or 2025. Fall chamois coats are the best, but if the hunter chooses
spring dates, José has spare capes from the fall he can offer the spring hunter(s).
•Included are reception and farewell at the Madrid airport, transportation to and from the hunting area (unlimited mileage), AWD vehicles,
full board accomodations during the hunt, meals and beverages during stay, firearms customs clearance, daily rate for one hunter ($890/
day) ,English-speaking guide and of course the Cantabriam chamois trophy fee.
•Not included are flights to and from Madrid, hunting license ($250 per hunting area), taxidermy and shipping costs, hotel and meals before and
after the hunt, gratuities, vet certificate and export permit ($150 per trophy), additional trophy fees, and 21% VAT on the donation value.
•The high bidder will need to upgrade to include at least one of the ibex from Espacaza’s published price list. Well
known for their quality and hunting areas, Espacaza has several SCI top ten trophies for each of the four sub-species of ibex.
•The hunt may be upgraded and/or extended for an additional fee. Other species available include Gredos ibex ($9,900) Beceite ibex
($8,900) Southeastern ibex ($8,900) and Ronda ibex ($8,900); Pyrenean chamois ($4,900) and Cantabrian chamois ($4,900); Iberian
mouflon ($4,900); European fallow deer ($4,900); Iberian red stag ($4,900); European roe deer ($3,600); and European wild boar
($1,900). There will be surcharges for high scoring trophies.
•Additional hunters are welcome at $890/day and non-hunters at $350/day.
•This hunt cannot be combined with any other Spanish hunt.
•It is the high bidder’s responsibility to check on any international travel requirements.

The high bidder is responsible for pickup of purchased items in a timely manner before the conclusion of the convention. The Auction Volunteer Team will be available in the Banquet/Auction hall at the payment table to assist you in obtaining your item. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the high bidder. Our staff will work with you to find the best method to ship purchased items that cannot be taken by the high bidders. GSCO assumes no responsibility or liability of shipped items. No hard item merchandise will be delivered to buyers until full payment has been received. All hard merchandise will be shipped within 30 days after full payment of item is received.
Terms of Sale
Any bid, whether at the live auction, online or by phone, constitutes an OFFER TO PURCHASE the item being presented at the time. Unless a higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone or online bid, authorizes the person who took the bid to sign on your behalf. Being the high bidder for an item requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the conclusion of the auction or directly thereafter.
REFUND POLICY
All sales are final. In no event shall Buyer seek reimbursement from GSCO and Buyer acknowledges and agrees that GSCO is not liable to refund the purchase price or any portion thereof.
Auction Procedures
The auctioneer and his staff run the auction. Their rules and decisions will be final. If during the live auction, a final bid for an item is erroneously taken from two bidders, the bidding is closed to everyone else except those two bidders. The high bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser; the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder in any auction. At each live auction, there will be pre-designated bid spotters in the audience, and it is the responsibility of the bidder to direct bids to the nearest spotter. The auctioneer and spotters will make every attempt to acknowledge all desired bids, but GSCO is not responsible for any missed bids or bids that fail to be executed.
The high bidder for a hunt or trip is responsible for making arrangements directly with the donor in a timely manner. It IS NOT the obligation of the donor or Grand Slam Club/Ovis to contact the high bidder. The high bidder is responsible for following the same procedure as if the hunt or trip had been booked directly with the provider.
Online Bidding
All online bidders will be required to pay a 5% buyer’s premium with a $250.00 Cap plus an additional 4% credit card administrative fee.
You will be asked to provide the following information: full name, email address, billing address, phone number, credit card number which an address verification system (avs) is completed. Items purchased through the online auction will be shipped by a GSCO representative and shipping and handling fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.
All purchases over the amount of $10,000 will require a call back from GSCO auction team for verification.
HUNTS
Although GSCO has used its reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of donated hunts and trips, it has no control over the operation of the donor and cannot and does not guarantee that the hunt or trip will be to the Buyer’s satisfaction. The Buyer understands and agrees that it is his/her responsibility to make all arrangements for hunt or trip dates, including travel and completion of filing of all necessary documents, including applications for licenses and permits. GSCO cannot guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during a hunt. Some hunts are subject to VAT and GST tax liabilities, which sometimes are due and payable before the hunt can be taken. Buyer understands and agrees that GSCO is not responsible for these fees and that it is the Buyer’s responsibility to pay these fees unless other arrangements are made with the donor.
In no event shall GSCO, its directors, officers, agents, employees, or representatives be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages however causes and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way or form out of the Buyer’s purchase of trips, hunts, goods, services, or anything else purchased by Buyer at auction.
FIREARMS
Before taking possession of your purchased firearm, the gun must be registered in compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms laws. GSCO will ship the firearm through a Firearms License (FFL) holder, at the expense of the purchaser, to a Firearms License (FFL) holder of your choice after the event.
