This is a combination hunt for Musk ox and caribou for one hunter. The hunt takes place using inflatable boats and on foot. The musk ox are generally found grazing along the shores of the fjords, the caribou are however up in the mountains and a certain level of fitness is required to hunt them. You will be hunting for both species; one is included in the donation and your second species is at cost $3,800 to outfitter.
You will stay in a warm cabin with hot home cooked meals making it very enjoyable as fall settles into the extreme north.
This hunt may be taken in August 2024 (only); exact dates to be determined with donor.
The hunt can be with rifle or archery equipment. We suggest clients hire a rifle from the outfitter if rifle hunting. No permit is required to take a bow to Greenland. Trophies are sent frozen to a taxidermist in Denmark who will prepare them for shipment back to the States or for final taxidermy work. This arrangement is between the hunting client and the taxidermist.
A non-hunting observer may be included for $6,000 which includes the cost of helicopter charter.
Getting there: Fly to Copenhagen and spend the night. Next morning depart for Kanglussuaq, Greenland on Air Greenland flight, approximately 5 hours. You will spend the night in a local hotel and charter to camp the next morning by helicopter. You will hunt the next four days. On the day after your hunt ends you will fly back to Kangerlussuaq for your flight back to Copenhagen. You must stay overnight in Copenhagen before flying back to the States.
Visas are on arrival for US passport holders in Denmark and Greenland.

Chapter does not make or express any warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the item or hunt or trip’s description, genuineness, attributions, provenance, or condition. Any warranties with respect to items, hunts or trips are those solely and expressly supplied by the manufacturer or donor. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer, shall be the purchaser. In case of dispute between bidders, the auctioneer, shall have the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder
It is the purchaser's responsibility to contact the hunt or trip donor within 30 days and make all the necessary arrangements. If you fail to contact the donor within thirty days of the date of your purchase, the donor may consider the donation invalid.
All auctioned hunts must be used within the timeframe specified on the donation. If no date range is specified, all hunts or trips must be used within one year of the date of purchase.
A majority of outfitters do not allow "stringing" of donation hunts (purchase of multiple hunts in a single country), even if it is not explicitly stated in the hunt description, so please don't buy more than one hunt per country. If you want to string together two or more donated hunts, be sure to gain the approval of ALL the outfitters ahead of bidding, to ensure they will honor your purchases.
Auction hunts are donated in good faith by the donor. Donations are made to both raise money for our core missions, and secondly to attract new customers to outfitters. Most outfitters do not accept multiple purchases by the same bidder to be used all together as one item. Please be respectful of the opportunity you have been offered!
Auction hunt buyers must be flexible as some dates are inevitably booked by the outfitter or professional hunter.
