1) BRITISH RAF OFFICER. Overall length: 39 1/4". Blade length: 32". Blade has a central fuller & marked at the ricasso, “BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II SWORD CUTLERS WILKINSON SWORD LONDON MADE IN ENGLAND”. There is etching throughout 2/3 of the blade featuring the RAF eagle & British arms. Heavily gilded eagle pommel sword w/ lg. basket type grip featuring an RAF eagle on a medallion on the underside w/ a crowned “ER II”. Wire wrapped simulated white ray skin grip. Leather scabbard w/ heavily gilded mounts. CONDITION: blade shows very light wear but needs a good cleaning. Hilt & scabbard show very light wear. (02-15236/BF).
2) EUROPEAN SMALLSWORD. Overall length: 36 1/4". Blade length: 28 3/4". Blade marked at the ricasso, “FABRICA DE TOLEDO SPAIN”. Blade is etched over 1/4 of its length w/ various foliate motifs. Gilded brass hilt w/ a downturned clamshell guard. Wire wrapped simulated ivory grip. Leather scabbard w/ gilded mounts. CONDITION: blade shows light wear w/ some oxidation near the tip. Gilding on hilt is 95%. Grip wire has been glued in place. Scabbard leather is weak in several spots. (02-15238/BF).
3) RAF BROADSWORD. Overall length: 42 3/4". Blade length: 34 1/4". This is a 40th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain sword issued by Wilkinson Sword of England. Blade marked at the ricasso, “BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II SWORD CUTLERS WILKINSON SWORD MADE IN ENGLAND”. Blade engraved on 1 side w/ 2 British WWII fighters, the arms of the RAF & “COMMEMORATING THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940-1980”. Lg. crossguard features a gold RAF eagle in the center. The remainder of the hilt is chrome plated w/ a smooth wooden grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: sword shows light wear overall. (02-15245/BF).
4) JAPANESE ARMY PARADE. Overall length: 39 1/4". Blade length: 37 1/2". Plain single fullered blade w/ simulated wavy temper line. Gilded brass hilt w/ cherry blossoms on side of backstraps denoting Army use. Wire wrapped composite grip. Plated scabbard. There is a Dymo tape attached to the top of the scabbard that reads, “OKINAWA 1945” indicating the sword was taken at Okinawa. CONDITION: blade shows areas of original factory polish. Hilt shows light wear. Scabbard shows light wear w/ flaking at the drag. (02-15270/BF). $800-1,200.
