4 WWII GERMAN UNIFORMS.

1) ARMY. A standard German Army coat and pants in field green. Coat has a 4 pocket front and metal loops for belt support. The collar is dark green with enlisted collar tabs and a silver tape bullion border. Slip-on shoulder boards appear to be for a Corporal in the 3rd Jager Regiment. The background color is dark green and the pebble finished attachment buttons have a roman numeral "3" on the top. Enlisted breast eagle on dark green. The second button hole has an Iron Cross ribbon and a War Merit Cross sewn in. There are 3 sets of loops on the left breast pocket for badge attachment. The inside is stamped, "RENZ Holzgerlingen" with a number of sizing stamps. The pants have 2 slash pockets in the front, a watch pocket and a 5 button fly. Pocket bags are white cotton. CONDITION: coat shows reasonably light wear overall with no major faults or mothing. Pants show moderate wear with some fraying at the waistband, minor staining and 2 missing belt loops. (02-17158/BF).
2) WAFFEN SS. A very scarce, heavy weight, field green wool coat and pants for an enlisted SS man. Coat has a 4 pocket front with metal loops for belt support. Correct style shoulder boards and collar tabs appear to be of post war mfg. and were likely added later to the coat. The sleeve eagle and cuff title also appear to post date WWII and were likely added to enhance the look of this rare coat. The inside has SS stamps with correct sizing numbers. The pants are quite heavy with 2 slash pockets in the front as well as a watch pocket. Large, 4" button down loops at the waist & sizing buckles at the side. Pocket bags and waist lining seem to be a cotton rayon mix. Pants have correct size markings and mfg. markings on the waistband. A very difficult to find uniform that deserves some restoration attention. CONDITION: uniform shows very light wear and is likely one of the best surviving examples of this rare uniform. (02-17159/BF).
3) LUFTWAFFE. A good blue gray uniform for a Luftwaffe Captain. Uniform has a 4 pocket front with aluminum pebble finished buttons. The left pocket has 2 holes in the center with sewn edging for mounting a badge. Original, sewn in, yellow backed Captain's shoulder boards that appear to have always been with the coat. Collar is piped in silver bullion and the yellow collar tabs feature 3 gulls and a wreath. The collar tabs are believed to be of post WWII mfg. Bullion breast eagle also may be of post WWII origin. There is an Iron Cross ribbon in the second button hole. The inside of the coat has correct sizing and mfg. markings. Pants are dark gray with lace up calves to fit into boots. There are 2 slash pockets and a watch pocket in the front of the pants. Pocket bags and waist lining are rayon. CONDITION: coat is a bit faded and shows light to moderate wear overall. Pants show some mothing and a few holes. (02-17162/BF).
4) WAFFEN SS. A large, heavy, winter overcoat as worn by the Waffen SS. The coat has a 6 button front and utilizes darkened pebble finished buttons. There is a breast high slash pocket on each side. The red piped black slip on shoulder boards and the SS sleeve eagle appear to be of post war mfg. and added to enhance the look of the coat. The coat has a heavy, black wool lining. An exceedingly heavy overcoat, possibly of a veteran from the Eastern Front. CONDITION: coat shows moderate to heavy wear overall with scattered holes and moth tracks throughout. (02-17163/BF). $2,750-3,500.
