International Hunting Scotland invites two hunters and two non-hunters to Scotland for a unique 4-day/5-night Macnab Challenge and sightseeing adventure. The Macnab Challenge, inspired by John Buchan's 1925 novel, requires hunters to catch an Atlantic Salmon by fly-fishing, stalk a red stag, and shoot a brace of Grouse – all between sunrise and sunset in a single day. Schedule with outfitter for open dates in 2025 or 2026 (subject to availability on dates requested); contact outfitter for complete details. Method of take on the Macnab challenge is with fly rod, shotgun and rifle only. The lucky couples will enjoy their stay in the historic Littlewood castle-style hunting lodge, built over 100 years ago. This impressive accommodation features more than a dozen bedrooms, multiple reception rooms with large fireplaces, and is situated on a private hunting estate with mixed hill and woodland areas. The famous River Don runs through the grounds, providing excellent salmon fishing opportunities. In addition to the Macnab attempt, the winning bidder will also have a day of walked up mixed bird (wild Pheasant and Partridges) shooting for two hunters, provided for them on the Estate. The day of shooting will be over pointing dogs and will make for great sport in the beautiful Scottish countryside. The Directors of International Hunting Scotland will personally host the group. A private chef will prepare meals using locally sourced Scottish produce, accompanied by quality wines and beverages. Professional guides will assist with all aspects of the Macnab Challenge, and all necessary equipment, hunting insurance, and permits are provided. Hunters may bring their own rifles and shotguns if desired. Each hunter will receive a custom-designed salmon fly, which will be replicated on a gold pin for wear. With decades of experience, International Hunting Scotland, led by Cara Hutchens and her husband Alistair, specializes in providing bespoke hunting, shooting, and fishing experiences across Scotland, the UK, and worldwide. The package includes accommodations, meals, trophy fees for Macnab challenge, a private Scottish Highland tour day featuring iconic cultural sites and a whisky distillery visit and tasting session, and field prep. Private return transfers from Edinburgh, Inverness or Aberdeen International airports are also included. Not included are before/after hunt expenses, flights, and gratuities. Other hunting and non-hunting guests may accompany the winning bidders at additional cost. Other hunting and shooting days/options may be available during their visit. Arrival/departure point is Aberdeen airport. For more information, contact Cara Hutchens at girlboots@btinternet.com. Company website: www.internationalhuntingscotland.com.
