If you like to ride and want to see some beautiful back country that few have seen this is the trip you want to be on! This is a 5-day, 5-night horseback pack trip into the Purcell wilderness in the East Kootenays of British Columbia for four people. The Swords horses know the trails and are well behaved; however, some knowledge of horses and riding experience would be a huge asset. No children under 15 years of age please.
Accommodations will be in cozy cabin with wood stove and room for up to eight people. All meals and horses are provided. Your nights will be spent at the main lodge where you will enjoy a home-cooked dinner including cowboy coffee and home-made pies. Your group will be up and, on the trail, the next morning, heading off on this one-of-a-kind adventure. You will follow the Findlay Creek on a breathtaking ride through slides, creeks, pine, poplar, and old growth forests that have never been touched. You will ride into basins with glaciers and meadows so beautiful you will want to take your boots off to feel the softness on your toes. There will be an abundance of wildlife to see so please bring your camera.
Purchase a fresh water fishing license online prior to your arrival and bring along your fishing gear for the chance at some rainbow trout. This package is for four guests; however Whiteswan Lake Outfitters can accommodate up to four more riders (for a group total of eight) for an additional $1,750 pp.
