This group of bayonets includes 1 M1871/84 first model Mauser bayonet. Overall length: 17 1/2". Blade length: 10". Blade has a single medium fuller and is marked at the ricasso "WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO SOLINGEN". Iron/steel hilt with 2-piece wood grips. Steel/iron mounted leather scabbard with heavy leather frog. There is a black, red & white knot attached to the frog. / 1 M1884/98 second pattern Mauser bayonet measuring 15 7/8" overall with a 9 7/8" blade. Blade has a single medium fuller and is stamped at the ricasso "GOTTLIEB HAMMESFAHR SOLINGEN . ROCHE". Iron/steel hilt with 2-piece wood grip. Iron/steel scabbard. / 1 WWII Mauser K98 bayonet dated 1939. Overall length: 16 3/4". Blade length: 10". Blade has a single medium fuller and is marked at the ricasso "GEBR. HELLER". The bayonet & scabbard are both numbered "3866". Steel hilt with 2-piece composite grips. Steel scabbard with leather frog. / 1 M1898 epee bayonet. Blade has a single narrow fuller and is stamped at the ricasso "FREURT (crown)". The spine has 2 arsenal marks. Steel/iron hilt with 2-piece wood grips. Steel/iron mounted leather scabbard. / 1 Mauser K98 bayonet captured by and engraved "Jack D. Ford". The blade is plated & engraved "June 44 18th Field Artillery Group May 45 Normandy Coast Saint Lo Falaise Gap Soissons Mons Aachen Ardennes Duren Cologne Rhine Ruhr Pocket Chemnitz". The ricasso is marked "W.K.C." Plated hilt with 2-piece wood grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: all bayonets show light to moderate wear with no notable damage.
