1,2) A two-volume set titled "NEW ENGLAND AVIATORS 1914 1918 THEIR PORTRAITS AND THEIR RECORDS" with an introduction by A. Lawrence Lowell. The set was published by Houghton Mifflin Company of Boston and New York in 1919. This book contains valuable information for the researcher or aficionado. Possibly, most importantly, the many photographs of flyers in uniform provide an invaluable resource for the collector of insignia. 3,4) A two-volume set titled "THE FIRST YALE UNIT NAVAL AVIATION 1916 TO 1919" by Ralph D. Paine. The book was printed by The Riverside Press of Cambridge in 1925. A stirring story of a unit of Yale University aviators that began training even before a declaration of war was issued. Because of their early and advanced training, they were actively organized in the summer of 1916. 5) A book titled "SKY FIGHTERS OF FRANCE AERIAL WARFARE, 1914-1918" by Lieutenant Henry Farre and translated to English by Catherine Rush.
