Best of the West Outfitters offers a wide range of elk hunts in western Wyoming, home to one of the largest elk herds in the world. Our archery season runs from September 1st through September 30th, and our rifle season is from September 20th through October 31st. All our hunts include top-quality trophy elk hunting opportunities, making them the hunt of a lifetime for that hunter who is looking for a true trophy-class bull elk.

The following provisions will apply to bidders participating in online bidding:
1. The winner’s credit card on file will be charged the full amount for each successful bid. The winner will receive an immediate email acknowledgment at the conclusion of the bidding phase followed by a paid invoice once their payment has been processed.
2. In the event the card is declined, Big Sky DSC will make one attempt to contact the winner to obtain a new form of payment. If the bidder cannot be reached, Big Sky DSC may, in its sole and absolute discretion, re-sell the affected item. Online bidders are encouraged to remain available via cell phone during the bidding process.
3. Online winners will be assessed a Buyer's Premium (6% or $250, whichever is less) on the total winning bid amount for each online purchase. The Buyer’s Premium will be included in the total charged for each item.
4. Online bidders agree not to use any device, software, or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of any transaction being conducted during the online auction.
5. Big Sky DSC reserves the right, for any reason, in its sole discretion, to terminate, change or suspend any aspect of the online auction.
6. If bidder dissatisfaction occurs with the online auction in any way, the bidder’s only recourse is to immediately discontinue use of the online auction before items have been purchased.
7. Big Sky DSC reserves the right to terminate bidder registration and use of the online auction and impose limits on certain features of the online auction or restrict bidder access to, or use of, part or the entire online auction without notice or penalty.
8. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY FOR Big Sky DSC:
GOODS: All goods in the live auctions, silent auctions, and raffles have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The high bidder acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by Big Sky DSC and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to secure a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. GOODS ARE SOLD “AS IS” WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS AND WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE PART OF Big Sky DSC. BIG SKY DSC MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM THE SAME. Big Sky DSC does not accept any responsibility or liability for any product, design or use. Any written warranties with respect to the goods delivered to the purchaser are those solely of the manufacturer or their agents and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer. All firearms obtained for this event will be transferred in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. SERVICES: All services (hunts or otherwise) in the live auctions, silent auctions, and raffles have been acquired from and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “GOODS” above. SERVICES ARE SOLD “AS IS” WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS AND WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE PART OF Big Sky DSC. Big Sky DSC MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE SAME. No services are to be or will be performed by Big Sky DSC and the entity shall bear no responsibility for the delivery or quality of any of the services or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or nonperformance of such services. The high bidder further acknowledges that in the event services are purchased, Big Sky DSC cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest, pandemic or instability that may occur inside or outside the confines of the United States, nor can Big Sky DSC be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise therefrom. The high bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances, and that should legal action be required to collect for the services acquired by the high bidder at the auction, Big Sky DSC shall be entitled to all reasonable attorney’s fees, cost of court and interest as provided by law.
9. Successful bidders are required to contact outfitters and service providers within 60 days of the auction to schedule and reserve dates.
10. Purchased trips cannot be combined to run adjacent or concurrent with any other purchased donations without approval of all involved outfitters.
11. Bidder acknowledges that the online auction bidding phase is conducted electronically and relies on hardware and software that may malfunction without warning. Big Sky DSC will not be responsible for error or failures to execute bids placed via the internet, including, without limitation, errors or failures caused by (i) a loss of connection on Big Sky DSC`s or bidder`s end (ii) a breakdown or problems with the online bidding software and /or (iii) a breakdown or problems with a bidder`s internet connection, computer or system. Big Sky DSC does not accept liability for failure to execute any online bid or for errors or omissions in connection therewith.
12. Big Sky DSC may void any sale, temporarily suspend bidding, and re-sell any goods that were affected by any malfunction.
13. CHARITABLE DEDUCTION QUALIFICATIONS Big Sky DSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Consult your tax professional for deductibility of amounts paid for auction purchases.
14. AUCTION CREDIT POLICY FOR Big Sky DSC. Disputes regarding auction items purchased during the Big Sky DSC Banquet & Auction, or at any other time, shall be submitted to the Big Sky DSC Board in writing and shall detail the basis for the dispute and the grounds supporting a refund. The Big Sky DSC Board may, in its sole and absolute discretion, approve an auction credit for the amount paid, deny relief, or, in extraordinary circumstances, approve a refund of the amount paid. Without limitation, credits or refunds will not be given if the auction winner is unable to utilize the purchased item in the time described in the auction description due to illness, work conflicts, personal or family conflicts or death(s), travel delays, or cancellations or any other similar matters affecting the auction buyer that are outside of the control of Big Sky DSC. Big Sky DSC auction credit policy will not apply to any auction item for which the Donor and Buyer alter or vary the terms set forth for the item in the auction catalog or any other description of the auction item prepared and/or disseminated Big Sky DSC. If a refund or credit is approved by the Big Sky DSC Board for any auction item the proceeds of which are to be paid to or split with any third-party beneficiary, the refund or credit will not exceed the net amount allocable to Big Sky DSC for such item. All credit or refund decisions are within the sole discretion of the Board of Big Sky DSC and all Board decisions are final.
