This weapon of choice guided six-day barren ground muskox hunt for one hunter includes the trophy fee for one muskox. The winning bidder may add a second hunter for an additional cost of $7,000 including the second muskox trophy fee. This is a snowmobile hunt that will take place approximately 75 miles northeast of Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, Canada north of the Arctic Circle on the shores of the Arctic Ocean.
The Inuvialuit community of Tuktoyaktuk is commonly referred to as Tuk and is the only community in Canada on the Arctic Ocean that is connected to the rest of Canada by road.
The Barren Ground Muskox is found only on the continental mainland of Canada and inhabits the areas from the Arctic coast of Queen Maud Gulf to the north and from Cape Bathurst in the west to the Sherman Basin in the east.
Hunters will fly into Inuvik, Northwest Territory and drive to Tuk.

Please Note: Hunt is to be taken during the first week of May in either 2019 or 2020. Winning bidder to contact the outfitter within two weeks of the banquet to schedule the hunt and reserve tag(s). Airfare is not included. The method of take is the hunter’s choice (rifle, bow, crossbow, muzzleloader or handgun). After the winning bidder has been confirmed, a Heartland DSC representative will record winning bidder’s number for processing. Payment will be required prior to leaving the venue the night of the auction. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, credit card (MasterCard or Visa), or check.
Accepted Payment Methods:
The following provisions will apply to bidders participating in online bidding:
1. Winner’s credit card on file will charged the full amount for each successful bid. Winner will receive an immediate email acknowledgement at the conclusion of the bidding phase followed by a paid invoice once their payment has processed.
2. In the event the card is declined, Heartland DSC will make one attempt to contact the winner to obtain a new form of payment. If the bidder cannot be reached, Heartland DSC may, in its sole and absolute discretion, re-sell the affected item. Online bidders are encouraged to remain available via cell phone during the bidding process.
3. Online winners will be assessed a Buyer's Premium (5% or $250, whichever is less) on the total winning bid amount for each online purchase. The Buyer’s Premium will be included in the total charged for each item.
4. Online bidders agree not to use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of any transaction being conducted during the online auction.
5. Heartland DSC reserves the right, for any reason, in its sole discretion, to terminate, change or suspend any aspect of the online auction.
6. If bidder dissatisfaction occurs with the online auction in any way, bidder’s only recourse is to immediately discontinue use of the online auction before items have been purchased.
7. Heartland DSC reserves the right to terminate bidder registration and use of the online auction, and impose limits on certain features of the online auction or restrict bidder access to, or use of, part or the entire online auction without notice or penalty.
8. All items sold through Heartland DSC are received from third party vendors. GOODS: All goods in the live auctions, silent auctions and raffles have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The high bidder acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by Heartland DSC, and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets or other weapons to secure a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods in the live auctions are sold “as is” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of Heartland DSC. Heartland DSC makes no warranties of fitness or merchantability, and expressly disclaims the same. Heartland DSC does not accept any responsibility or liability for any product, design or use. Any written warranties with respect to the goods delivered to the purchaser are those solely of the manufacturer or their agents, and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer. All firearms obtained for this event will be transferred in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. SERVICES: All services, hunts or otherwise, in the live auctions, silent auctions and raffles have been acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “GOODS” above. The services in the live auctions are sold “as is” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of Heartland DSC. Heartland DSC makes no warranties of fitness or merchantability, and expressly disclaims the same. No services in the live auctions are to be or will be performed by Heartland DSC. Heartland DSC shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such services. The high bidder further acknowledges that in the event services are purchased, Heartland DSC cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest or instability that may occur outside the confines of the United States, nor can Heartland DSC be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from. The high bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances, and that should legal action be required to collect for the services or merchandise acquired by the high bidder at the auction, Heartland DSC shall be entitled to all reasonable attorney’s fees, cost of court and interest as provided by law.
9. Bidder acknowledges that the online auction bidding phase is conducted electronically and relies on hardware and software that may malfunction without warning. Heartland DSC will not be responsible for error or failures to execute bids placed via the internet, including, without limitation, errors or failures caused by (i) a loss of connection on Heartland DSC`s or bidder`s end (ii) a breakdown or problems with the online bidding software and /or (iii) a breakdown or problems with a bidder`s internet connection, computer or system. Heartland DSC does not accept liability for failure to execute any online bid or for errors or omissions in connection therewith.
10. Heartland DSC may void any sale, temporarily suspend bidding and re-sell any goods that were affected by any malfunction.
