Wicked River Outfitters has a guiding territory in northern BC, west of Fort St John (1,500 square miles). These are mountain hunts, you will need to be in good shape as Mountain Goat hunting is a very physically demanding hunt, for many hunters it is the toughest hunt they have ever done.
Wicked River strongly advise all clients to be in excellent physical condition prior to undertaking this adventure.
Wicked River Outfitters offer hunts from the main lodge, remote camps, and spike camps. The guides can get to you these “kings of the mountain” using the horses allows you to travel deep into the backcountry and by backpacking from spike camps. Riding the horses really saves your body until your goat is spotted and it’s time to climb. The horses also allow you to cover a lot of ground during your hunt and eliminate long approaches to the mountain.
Wicked River guides have been with the outfitter for many years. You can rely on their judgment and expertise since they know the area, terrain, and wildlife habits. Wicked River guides will work hard to make your hunt as successful, enjoyable, memorable, and safe as possible. Talk to Booker about the possibility of upgrading your hunt to include additional species. All meals and accommodations for this 7-day hunt are included. A transportation charter fee, from Fort St John, of $2,500 USD along with licenses, tags and HPF are not included.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
