8 AMERICAN MILITARY UNIFORMS.

1-3) 3 CBI TUNICS. 3 Exceptional theater made China-Burma-India tunics for an American Lieutenant Colonel of the Adjutant General's Department. Tunics are similar & of a lightweight khaki material generally no seen out of the CBI theater. 2 Of the uniforms have embroidered Lieutenant Colonel's oak leaves on the shoulder as well as an embroidered "US" & Adjutant General's shield on the collar. 1 Of these 2 uniforms has a silver bullion CBI patch on the left shoulder. The other has a cloth CBI patch on the left shoulder. The third tunic has no insignia at all.
4) FLYING SUIT. An Army Airfoce khaki, 1 piece flying suit with a stenciled Airforce patch on the left shoulder that reads "ARMY AIR FORCES". Tag reads in part, "SUIT, FLYING, VERY LIGHT, COTTON TWILL TYPE K-1".
5) NAVY. A late 19th or early 20th century Naval officer's vest of high grade dark wool with a 4 button front.
6) NAVY. A very interesting Navy enlisted jumper & pants for a Chief Quartermaster. Uniform appears to be of WWII vintage or before. There is a service stripe on the left sleeve & the Chief Petty Officer insignia is on the right sleeve. There is a knotted rope insignia at the V of the neck. The most intriguing part of this uniform is the fact that all uniform trim & insignia are bright yellow. We honestly have no idea of the reason for this but the uniform was definitely made with yellow trim & yellow insignia.
7) MARINE. A uniform tunic for a Corporal in the 1st Marine Airwing. Uniform has green on red Corporal stripes with Maine 1st Airwing patch on left shoulder. Ruptured Duck is sewn above the right pocket. Uniform shows some discoloration & moth damage.
8) MERCHANT MARINE. A WWII or earlier Merchant Marine 6 button coat. Uniform is dark blue with 2 flapped breast pockets. CONDITION: all uniforms show very light wear except as noted. (02-16054/BF). $500-700.
