Superlative quality side-by-side double barrel boxlock shotgun chambered for up to 3” 12 gauge shells (Galazan chamber depth gauge). Manufactured in Philadelphia, PA circa 1915. Features blued 30” barrels with raised & matted concave rib & full/full chokes, ejectors, ivory bead front sight & mid-bead, oak leaf pattern hand engraving with duck, grouse & fox game scenes on the receiver, checkered top lever, sliding tang safety, single trigger with barrel selector alongside of it, splinter forend with fine point checkering & Deeley release, and beautifully figured walnut straight grip shoulder stock with fine point checkering and checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: Length of Pull – 14 5/8”, Drop at Comb – 1 5/8” and Drop at Heel – 2 5/8”. The barrels retain nearly all of their bluing showing little to no wear. The case hardened receiver displays vivid colors on the water table and other protected areas while the balance of the metal surfaces exhibits a silver/grey patina. The action is mechanically sound, the bores are bright, the markings are very good, and the figured walnut stocks are fine.
Condition is Fine with excellent restoration to stocks.
