Adolf Hitler "AH" flatware and a printed Christmas and New Years greeting card from Adolf Hitler reading 'Herzliche Glueckwuensche zum Weihnachtsfest und zum Jahreswechsel' (Heartfelt wishes for Christmas and the New Year) with a printed signature at the conclusion. Dated Munich, in December 1940. The Reichs Eagle, swastika and Hitler's name are printed in gilt lettering in the upper left margin. 5 x 7.5 inches, minor toning, very good. These items are formally from the Museum of World Wars, Ron Lane collection who obtained these, and other Goring, Hitler items from Lt. Robert Shapiro who captured Goring and acted as his interpreter during the Nuremberg war crime trials. Goring was captured with a car load of Treasures including a presentation PPK, his field Marshals baton, typewriter with special key, Hitler presentaion watch and many other artifacts. Goring was placed under arrest back to his castle where he was allowed a suitcase full of and many items he gifted to Shapiro. Artifacts were 1st hand acquisitions from Hitler #2 man. Two dinner knives inscribed "AH" in art deco style "AH" one stamped Heldsilber, Frankfurt, and one WMF, both silver hallmarked, and two forks stamped .800 (Fine silver) and engraved "AH" identical to the knives.
