Adolf Loesche Pre-War German Drilling 16x16 GA / 9x72R Combination Gun Shotgun Rifle
Manufactured in the 1920's in Germany by Adolf Loesche. Features blued Nitro proofed 26-3/4" Krupp steel barrels with 16 Gauge side by side shotgun over 9x72R caliber rifle. Barrels have raised matted rib with rifle sights and "Waffen Loesche, Magdeburg" marked on right barrel and "Hanover-Berlin" on left. Barrels feature extractors, dolls head rib extension and claw scope bases. Rounded coin finish underlever and game scene engraved action with tang barrel selector and Greener style safety. Action has double triggers with front being a set with steel opening lever. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with right hand cheekpiece. Fitted with a horn butt plate and grip cap. CONDITION
Retains 60% original finish with fading blue with handling areas turning to a silvery patina. Action worn to a dull silver tone. Stock has traces of original finish with heavy field marks and worn checkering. Work done to rear sight. Good bores with good mechanics except trigger does not set and needs adjustment.
