Captain Chris Russell and Big Irv’s Famous Alaska Charters invite two anglers to Whittier, Alaska for a Halibut, Salmon, and Rock Fish adventure.
Captain Chris is a retired US soldier who proudly served for two decades. He brings the same passion he had for his service to his outfitting company, and it is reflected in the 51/51 five-star Google reviews.
This fishing trip will target big Halibut in deep Alaskan waters and after the boat limits on Halibut the target species will be salmon (seasonal) and Rock Fish. Typical days at sea are 11-12 hours long. In 2023 Captain Chris received a new vessel, the 31’ Nauti Star 2 with all the latest gear and electronics. It includes everything needed for a comfortable day on the water including an enclosed head, and a heated, padded space for a nap.
The winning bidder is encouraged to extend the trip and enjoy a few more days of serious Alaska fishing. Captain Chris also offers tours to Blackstone and Harriman Glaciers. These trips require the full boat to be chartered.
Anglers will fly into Anchorage and arrange for their own transportation to Whittier, about 60 miles south.
Chapter proceeds from this donation will benefit the Utah chapter of Military Sportsmen of America. Be generous and support our veterans, and serve yourself to this 5-Star Alaska adventure.
Included: One day guided fishing for two anglers, rods, reels, bait, gear, fish filleting, vacuum packing, and boxing of your fish.
Not Included: Airfare, hotel if required, lodging, meals, licenses and stamps (if desired and seasonal) and gratuities.
Available Upgrades: Additional days and anglers at $465/angler/day, Glacier tours per price list.
