.54 caliber, 48.25" octagonal barrel, NSN. Varnished stock secured with keys and inset escutcheons. Dovetailed German silver blade front sight with buckhorn rear sight block. Brass forend cap, ramrod pipes, entry pipe, and triggerguard. Decorative brass sideplate. Butt with carved cheekpiece and star inlay. Attractive button latch patchbox. Flat lockplate with swan-neck cock. Ovoid pan with fence and roller frizzen. No signature. **Good condition overall. Barrel has a dark plumb patination with some pitting and wear on sharp edges. Some oxidation around breech. Old copper plate repair around triggerguard from old crack around wrist. Stock may have been refinished. Action is non-functional.
