This is the opportunity of a lifetime to harvest one of the largest, free-ranging Rocky Mountain bull elk in the world! No other state consistently produces huge bulls the way Arizona does, and this tag gives the winning bidder the maximum opportunity to harvest one of these massive animals. Arizona has a long history of record book elk and 2024 was no exception with bulls well over 400 inches. The hunter will have 365 days of premier access to 32 of Arizona's prime elk Units. All proceeds from the sale of this tag will be used for on-the-ground to benefit elk in Arizona.

Area: Statewide except Units 11M, 25M, 26M, and 38M, and Camp Navajo in Unit 6B and Mohave County Park Lands in Unit 16A. Archery-only areas: 11M. (Open Areas do not include areas within municipal parks, municipal preserves, county parks, county preserves, airports, golf courses, or posted water treatment facilities (except as specifically opened in this Commission Order) or areas closed to hunting under A.R.S. Sections 17-303 and 17-304 or Commission Rules R12-4-321, R12-4-801, R12-4-802 and R12-4-803.)

License: Hunter must possess a valid Arizona hunting license.
Guide Service: Not included

The person who buys this special license-tag must disclose the name and address of the hunter to whom the special license-tag will be issued within 60 days of the purchase. The resale of the Special Big Game Tag is not permitted.

SPECIAL NOTE: LAST ARIZONA AUCTION ELK TAG!!!
***During the March 15, 2024, Commission meeting, the Commission directed the Department to notify the Wildlife Conservation Organizations that for the 2025-2026 Special Big Game Tag season, there will only be “one” tag per big game species up for auction. This includes the Commissioners Elk Tag. Additionally, according to the Commission’s direction for the 2026-2027 SBG tag season and after, auction sale of Arizona SBG tags will not be permitted. However, nonauction sale methods for the SBG tags will still be available.

After the 2025-26 season there will be NO MORE ARIZONA GAME AND FISH COMMISSIONER AUCTION TAGS!
