Images of giant, sharp-billed birds descending from the sky with rattling bugle calls may seem more like a scene from prehistoric times instead of a waterfowl hunt. But this is what you will experience as you watch a flock of sandhill cranes approach decoys with the agility of a duck. Not only is hunting these bucket-list birds the thrill of a lifetime, but a successful hunt makes the rewards even more apparent when you enjoy one of the finest-tasting waterfowl species in the world. Known as extremely fine table fare that it is lean, tender, and grain-fed leading them to often be referred to as the ribeye of the sky.
This 3-day guided hunt for two hunters takes place in Arizona with AZ Bucks & Bulls in an easy permit draw unit.
INCLUDES: Three (3) days of guided hunting and up to three (3) birds per hunter (Arizona possession limit) for two (2) hunters.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Hunt to be taken during a sandhill crane season 2025 - 2030. Permit applications generally take place in May each year (coordinate details with the outfitter).
DOES NOT INCLUDE: Lodging, meals, or gratuities.
