2015 SCI National Conservation Artist of the Year, Cynthie Fisher has donated an original scratchboard of Burchell Zebra foals. Titled “Best Buds”. Cynthie Fisher, a resident of Hamilton, Montana, has been a professional wildlife artist for 35 years. She’s accrued quite a list of national art award including 17 state duck stamps, and numerous accolades in wildlife art and conservation circles. Cynthie displays her artwork at several national conservation shows each spring, and has travelled to Africa 19 times, where she adds to her collection of photos as well as trophies in her trophy room. Cynthie’s artistic passion is purely wildlife, all species worldwide, as well as the local favorites here in Montana. She paints in oil, acrylic and scratchboard, and makes glass mosaics and mixed media sculpture. She also does bronze sculpture of many unusual species, making good use of her knowledge of anatomy and behavior.
