MOUNTAIN SPIRIT OUTFITTERS & SWEET SIN FISHING
BLACK BEAR HUNT & FISHING FOR 1
VALUE: $8,000

Bear hunting and fishing, what more could someone want in the spring? Offering a combination of both. Fish early and hunt bears in the later afternoon and evening or hunt and then fish, it’s your trip!

Quesnel Lake is the major tributary of the Fraser River and is claimed to be the deepest fjord lake in the world. You may catch Rainbow Trout up to 20lbs along with Lake Trout, Burbot, Kokanee and Sockeye. The scenery is incredible, with giant old growth cedar forests, beautiful sandy beaches, rocky crags, and magnificent views of the Cariboo Mountain Range.

Hunting bears is a lot of fun, it’s all spot and stalk. It’s a thrill, challenging ourselves (hearts pounding) with how close we can get for a good clean shot. The primary color is black; however, a few color-phase bears have been spotted. There are 7’ bears if one is patient enough to wait. However, average is 6.5’. Since the logging has increased, it has opened more country, increasing the daily bear count. During the spring hunts, bears are eating the fresh green grass growing along the roads. That is how we hunt them, driving the roads and glassing the clear cuts where any new grass is growing.
