Cal. 16 Ga., 2 3/4" / 7x65 R. S# 1916.58. The 23 3/8" bbls. are fitted w/ claw scope bases, popup U-notch rear & silver bead front sights in full length, nicely matted rib, front portion slightly raised forming ramp. Between scope bases, rib is engraved “Joh. Fanzoi-Ferlach”. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped w/ 1958 Ferlach proofs for 2 3/4" shotgun chambers & 7x65 R rifle cartridge. Scallop backed, coin finished, blitz action has rifle selector on top tang & is fitted w/ Greener type side safety. Action also features crossbolt 3rd fastener, bushed strikers, reinforced frame & dbl. triggers (front set). Action is engraved w/ about 80% coverage shaded scroll surrounding game scenes w/ a chamois on left, running roebuck on right & bugling stag on trigger plate. Trigger guard is horn. Well marbled & stump figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 5/8" over 1" thick hard rubber buttplate. Stock features shadowline right hand cheekpiece, hard rubber grip cap & multipoint pattern skipline checkering. Drilling is also fitted w/ sling loops. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. Drilling is fitted w/ Hensoldt Diavari 1.5-6x 30mm rail scope w/ 3 post reticle in claw mounts, rear w/ windage (scope does not have internal windage adj.). MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .664", L .665". Restriction: R .028" (FULL), L .029" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .025", L .028". STOCK: DAH: 3". DAC: 1 9/16". LOP: 14 5/8". CAST: approx. 3/8" off. WEIGHT WITHOUT SCOPE: 7 lb. 2 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: good, bbls. retaining most of their original blue, considerably thinned overall from normal handling & wear. Coin finish of action has darkened overall & is near gray on bottom. Engraving remains clear. Trigger guard has lg. epoxy repair at front of bow where it attaches to trigger plate. This repair is not of very high quality. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish w/ a lg. number of knocks & dings, mostly on butt. Checkering is worn, but remains useful. Scope has a good number of marks & scratches in its external varnish w/ some wear through to metal. Optically fine. Shotgun bores are bright & shiny, w/ evidence of a sm. dent in right bbl. about 10" from breech end & possible dent removal, also in right bbl., about 6" behind muzzle. Rifle bore is also fine, shiny w/ some erosion at throat. Action is tight. Mechanically good. (22-4902/MGM). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
