Rare British military single shot bolt action training rifle chambered in .22 caliber rimfire, manufactured circa 1951. Features a black painted finish, 23 3/8" heavy barrel, shrouded patridge front sight, receiver mounted flip-up sight with adjustable aperture diopter, has the "H" setting when used with the Landscape Targets. smooth trigger, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, integral .303 charge loading cuts in the receiver, grooved wood handguard, smooth forend and pistol grip shoulder stock with black rubber butt plate. The left side of the receiver is marked "22 No8 MKI/A22691," the left side of the butt socket is stamped "CR324, M47c 1951". Serial numbers match on the receiver, bolt handle and forend. Rifle exhibits approximately 92% of it's black paint finish showing moderate handling marks & losses, some minor surface rust on the rear of the bolt. The cock-on-open action is smooth, the bore is excellent/bright and the wood stocks are very good+. Rare as most of these rifles were produced by Fazakerley.
