Operating from a spectacular 2,400 square kilometer guiding territory in northern BC, Claw Mountain Outfitters can help you fulfill your dream of hunting a mountain goat. Guide outfitter Rick Solmonson has a long history in the guiding industry, with 30 years of client service and guiding experience under his help.
This is a 10-day 1:1 backpack hunt, and the method of take can be either rifle or bow. Your adventure will begin with a float plane flight from Smithers, BC into camp, where you will stay in their base lodge or remote spike camps. Laundry and showers are available at the base camp. All meals will be provided by the Claw Mountain Outfitters crew. You’ll have the option of upgrading to include a caribou for the trophy fee of $3,500 CDN. Field preparation of your trophy is included, and the Solmonsons will bring it to Black Lake or Smithers for you.
You will be responsible for their hotel room in Smithers and transportation by float plane ($1,500 CDN) from Smithers into camp. Licences, tags, HPF and royalties are also additional.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
