The winner of this bundle will win a Brooks Range Jacket, PA 18 Pants and a Wooly Mammoth 1/4 Zip Pullover!

This is our famous jacket that Bob designed twenty-five years ago while hunting sheep in the Brooks Range. The jacket is now in use by sheep hunters all over the world from Tajikistan to Siberia as well as a layering piece for polar bear hunting. The jacket uses the finest insulation available- Primaloft sport synthetic insulation. The continuous fiber design of Primaloft Sport eliminates the need for baffles, which in turn eliminates insulation shift and thousands of stitch holes through the windproof shell. The outer shell material is made of Pertex Quantum endurance, a waterproof, breathable fabric. The jacket has zippered, fleece lined pockets as well as a fleece-lined collar. The front zipper has a built in storm guard over the front YKK Derlin zipper. The bottom of the jacket has adjustable hem cords to prevent wind from entering the jacket. There is also an optional removable zip-off baffled hood for additional weather protection. Even though this jacket has a waterproof breathable exterior for conditions where rain and snow may be mixed it is not designed as a one hundred percent waterproof jacket. The Brooks Range Jacket occupies very little space (approximately 6×10 inch stuff sack) and is our most popular insulated outerwear piece. This jacket is a necessity for any hunts where you are sitting glassing for long periods of time or you are in cooler conditions. The Brooks Range jacket will become one of your favorite pieces of hunting equipment and it also looks good as a casual wear garment. Average weight is 30 oz.

The Wooly Mammoth is a piece that Bob and Kevin have been eager to design for many years. Stemming from the old school concept of wool, the Wooly’s main body is Pontetorto Techno Wool. The conversation around fleece vs. wool has always been a topic of discussion around any outdoor shop, however the unique thing about Techno Wool is the fact that it brings two rival enemies who are great at what they do, to the same side. With a Wool outer face, backed with a brushed fleece, the Wooly offers what we feel as one of the most functional 1/4 zip pullovers on the market today. The Wooly has become exceedingly popular with our bush pilots and sheep hunters alike who spend a lot of time in the back of a SuperCub, as it’s flame retardant properties offer that extra sense of security in the event of a disaster.

Named after an Alaskan icon that Piper introduced in the late 1940’s and has been a staple in remote bush flying in Alaska, PA 18 was the best fitting name for a pant born in the remote mountains of Alaska. No one is reinventing the wheel these days. We pay attention to what works, and what doesn’t. Not just the end product but the fabrics, the sewing, the textiles, the styles etc. The PA 18 utilizes what we found to be the perfect blend of Nylon and Spandex, pocket placement derived from years of working retail and seeing the pros in some pants, and cons in others. There are plenty of awesome pants on the market, no question as we sell most of them. However Barneys has always been about filling a niche, and a void in the industry has been a lightweight, breathable and durable pant that was able to not only withstand the varying temperatures of early season sheep hunting, but also the rugged terrain in which they inhabit.
