Beautifully framed, matted and hand signed artist’s proof colored print by Sir Alfred Munnings (1878-1959) entitled “Before the Start Newmarket (From the Painting)”; approximately 26” x 34” overall. Munnings was elected President of the Royal Academy of Art in 1944, the same year he was knighted; during WW I, he was involved heavily with the movement of horses for the war effort and was the official artist for the Canadian Cavalry Brigade. As of 2007, the highest price paid for a Munnings painting was $7.8 million dollars (“The Red Prince Mare”) per Wikipedia. Est.: $200-$400.

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
