You can start 2015 with a freezer full of free-range organic bison meat. Depending on the dates you pick between December 1 and 28, you may even be able to switch the turkey for bison roast. An average BC bison weights between 550 and 900 kg, and stands about 1.8 meters tall – these are big (and delicious) animals!
Endre Pipics of Besa River Outfitters has generously donated a 7-day, 1:1 bison hunt to this year’s auction. Conscientious game management has helped maintain healthy wildlife populations in Besa River Outfitters’ area. Today they have a good reputation for success, client satisfaction, and quality of trophies.
Snowmobiles will be used for transportation and cabins will be your accommodation. The hunt can be upgraded to include a wolf for the cost of the tag. Additional hunters can join you for $8,000 USD, and non-hunters can participate for $200/day. Licences, tags, royalties, CITES and HPF are not included. You will need to take care of the costs for your hotel in Fort St John upon arrival and departure, as well as the $500 CDN airport transfer.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
