This is an Indian double barrel 12 gauge shotgun with Aussie tubes. This shotgun was used at the Canadian Nationals and state shoots. It can also be a nice wall hanger. Few blackpowder shotguns are around today and the rifles and pistols get all the glory. Load for the shotgun that worked was 70 grains of FFg powder, a fiber cushion wad lubed well, 1 ¼ oz of 6 shot with a thin wad on top. Clean the bore after each shot with a lightly dampened patch and then a dry one to prevent a “cook-off”. Remove the cap from the nipples if only one barrel has been shot and cushion the hammer on the nipples with cloth patches as sometimes cap residue remains on the nipple. It’s best to keep the barrel pointed up as overshot wads may not hold the shot well, then you shoot a blank at the clays.
